The Signature Room is celebrating their 20^th anniversary from April 15^th to May 2^nd.  On top of the great views, gourmet menu, and specialty cocktails, every day they are giving out 20 gift cards to 20 lucky customers! These are from an older project, but after a little research, I found out what they were for and decided to post them.

Ardbeg makes single Islay malt Scotch whisky, which makes a rocket shaped USB drive seem a little out of place.  Well, in 2011 Ardbeg sent some of the key ingredients of its whisky into space to compare how the ingredients mature vs. on Earth.  I would like to find out if they observed any differences; unfortunately, it looks like the Ardbeg Galileo they bottled with the space goodies is out of stock.  I know I was devastated too.

When I first saw the new custom USB drives for Tampa Bay Fisheries, I was blown away!  These deep-fried USB drives look and feel real enough to eat!  However, I wouldn’t recommend it.

If you are not a gamer, or if you avoid games on social media, there is a chance you have never heard of KIXEYE.  But, if you are a casual, or serious gamer, you should definitely look them up, because they are currently changing the gaming industry as we know it.  They offer online games that are free to play, but targeted toward serious gamers knowing that there is a small market of players that will pay for extra things in the game.  This has been their recipe for success, and they have been growing like crazy.  They are currently working on 4 new titles, and are looking to put a few of their titles on mobile.

Now that you know a little about them, on to the custom USB drive we made for them.  We took their logo and transformed it into a USB drive making sure we got all of the details perfect.  The matte black finish, clean lettering, and the red LED eyes all come together to make one awesome flash drive!  Just check out the pictures below, and be sure to check out KIXEYE’s equally awesome website here.

Today Taco Bell decided to release their new Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco a day early!  If you are like me and follow them on Facebook or Twitter, this news instantly changed your lunch plans.  But, like anything new, I was worried about some restaurants not participating in the “Just Ask” early release date, so I gave my local Taco Bell a ring.  I was told that they had them, but that I needed a coupon to purchase one.  Of course, I didn’t have a coupon, so I went looking for one on the internet.  No coupon was to be found, but I did read about a lot of other people hearing the same story when they tried to purchase one.  Well, I was determined to get my hands on a few today, so I grabbed this custom Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco USB drive, and hit the snowy streets of the Chicagoland area.

A few minuets later, I was standing in front the assistant store manager asking me for my order.  I immediately asked about the Cool Ranch DLTs, and received the same response I had gotten over the phone, “We have them, but are only selling them to customers with the coupon.”  With out thinking twice I told him, “I don’t have a coupon, but I do have this really cool custom USB drive shaped like the Cool Ranch DLT!”  I handed him the USB drive thinking this would give me the same special Taco Bell cred the coupon did.  He looked at the drive for a few seconds and replied, “How many would you like?”  VICTORY WAS MINE!  I ordered enough to use in a few pictures later, and one to scarf down there.

In a few moments, I had my prize and opened the first taco.  I held it just long enough to pose for a quick photo with my iPhone then took my first bite.  Amazing!  They nailed it!  I suggest giving one a try today, or in the very near future.  Also, check out the custom Doritos Loco Taco USB drive that saved the day in the pictures below.

Normally for a fully custom project, we design everything with the knowledge that the final product will be a functional USB drive.  This project was slightly different.  Hot Wheels wanted us to take one of their most popular car designs, and transform it into a USB drive.

We started with the Bone Shaker, and added an ultra-fast USB drive that slides out of the rear of the car.  The final product looks and feels like the regular Hot Wheels car, but flip it over, and you have access to the slide out USB chip.

Utility is a company that offers mobile broadband solutions to utility and first responder vehicles, so when they asked for a custom USB drive we were happy to help.

We started with the design of their Rocket Vehicle Router, and shrunk it down to a more flash drive friendly size. And just like on the real thing, you flip up the protective cap and you have access to your data.
