We are giving away 100 of our USB Business Cards!
Our USB Business Cards are all about making a statement! Without changing the looks of the average, everyday, well-designed business card, we added a tear-off USB webkey that plugs directly into a computer and launches your website. Made from multiple layers of paper laminated together with a tiny silicon chip in the middle, this product is only about 0.02 inches thick and environmentally friendly.
All you have to do to enter is:
Download the template, and let your creative juices start flowing. After you have your design all ready, email a .jpg of the design to email@example.com with USB Business Card Contest as the subject. Then we are going to post all of the designs here, and let everyone vote for their favorite design!
So get the word out! Share this post so all of your friends, family, random strangers, and everyone else can find it to vote for you!
ALL ENTRIES MUST BE SUBMITTED BY 11:59 PM AUGUST 2, 2013!
We will leave the voting open until 12:00 pm the next Friday, August 9, 2013. At that time the design with the most votes will be the winner! We will post the winner here and contact them via email.
The winner has one week after they are contacted to claim their prize or it will be awarded to the person with the next highest number of votes.
In order for the cards to be printed correctly the design has to be a vector graphic or a layered PSD file.(If the file is a vector, all the fonts must be outlined)
We reserve the right to not post any designs that contain any offensive material, or material that is not original artwork.

For the past few days we have been playing with this USB toy camera trying to decide if it is something we wanted to start carrying. We have finally decided that the image quality just isn’t there. The concept is fun, but we just can’t see ourselves reaching for this before our smartphone.
When we called the PortableApps.com Carbide the safest, most secure USB Flash Drive on Earth it raised a lot of questions. So we have decided to post the answers to the most common questions we have received so far, but if you have any questions that aren’t answered here just let us know.
1. How does this compare to Ironkey?
Please see attached comparison. Apart from these differences, Carbide is priced much more competitively than Ironkey. Numerous Ironkey customers are now happy PortableApps.com Carbide customers.
2. Is the chip potted?
The entire PCB and all components (except for the rechargeable battery) are potted to comply with FIPS 140-2 Level 3 criteria (please refer to our FIPS policy certificate # 1873).
3. Does hack attempt secure wipe contents?
If the incorrect PIN is entered 10 consecutive times the encryption key will be erased rendering all data stored on the drive as inaccessible. The drive can then be reset, which randomly generates a new encryption key then the drive will need to be reformatted in order to be reused/redeployed. The drive does not secure wipe contents after a hack attempt, it is not a requirement as far as we are concerned.
4. Is hack attempt counter persistent until next successful authentication? (attempt but not exceed threshold, unplug, attempt again with a 0 counter)?
Persistent until next authentication. Across sleep and power cycles.
Check out this awesome sample we just received! Makes me wish more customers went with metal for their custom drives.
