The Gigs.2.Go Kickstarter is Live

When we first mentioned the Gigs.2.Go USB drive it was all over the web, and everyone was asking how they could get their hands on one.  Since then we have been working with BOLTgroup to perfect the design, and they have finally released it!  If you are one of the many that can’t wait to get one, you can be one of the first to receive your Gigs.2.Go USB drive by backing their Kickstarter campaign!

If you missed the original Gigs.2.Go USB drive release, it is a credit card-sized flash drive made from recycled paper pulp, that is a fast, easy way to share large files.  The flash drive is cheap enough to hand one over to a friend, coworker, or a client without having to think twice about it, but the recycled paper case is durable enough to use again and again.

Their Kickstarter campaign was launched yesterday, and is already off to a great start! So be sure to check it out, share it with your friends, and back this awesome project!

Gigs.2.Go USB Drive

CustomUSB is Partnering with BOLTgroup to make GIGS.2.GO

A couple months ago the concept of GIGS.2.GO was released and caused quite a stir on tech blogs and elsewhere on the internet. Well we at CustomUSB are proud to announce a new licensing partnership with BOLTgroup. Through this partnership, we will be manufacturing the GIGS.2.GO USB drive.

The GIGS.2.GO drive is about the size of a credit card, made of 100% post consumer recycled paper pulp, and houses 4 1-GB USB drives that can easily be torn free. The paper pulp case is durable enough to protect the drive for many uses and at the end of the drives life, the case can be separated and recycled.

The GIGS.2.GO USB drive should be available for sale in late July or August.

There will be more details and pricing announced here closer to the release date so be sure to check back!

Thomson Reuters Wooden Chess Piece USB Drive is First in Set

We’re building a USB chess set and the King, made by Thomson Reuters, is the first piece. Aside from being chess lovers, the good people at Thomson Reuters also provided businesses and communities with intelligent information about, well, everything. If you’ve never heard of Thomson Reuters, I don’t know where you’ve been the last 10 years.

Each drive was precision milled using the same type of machine used to make real chess figures. Logo was laser engraved into the walnut drive finish. Two circular magnets held the cap and the body together.
